In short

What is virtual try-on for online stores?

Virtual try-on lets a shopper see a product on themselves, or on a model close to them, before buying.

We start with a pilot on up to 10 products: choose the method that suits your category, connect it to the product page with a consent step and an AI label, and add analytics to compare try-on users with other visitors.

Who it is for

  • Online stores selling apparel, eyewear, jewellery, cosmetics or bags, where fit and look drive returns.
  • Brands on Shopify, Next.js, WooCommerce or a similar platform where the product page can be changed.
  • Teams that want evidence from a small pilot before committing to a try-on vendor for the whole catalogue.

Not the right fit

  • Wildberries, Ozon, Amazon and other marketplaces: they do not allow custom widgets on product cards; AI model images for cards are a different service.
  • Native mobile apps (quoted separately).

Packages

Each package has two ways to work: AI-assisted, where AI drafts and a specialist checks every result, and human-led, where a specialist does more of the work at every stage and AI helps only with routine steps. The mode is written into your estimate.

Final estimate from the brief: the store platform, the number of products and the product category.

What is included

  • 1 feasibility check of your category (apparel, eyewear, jewellery, cosmetics, bags) and platform (Shopify, Next.js, WooCommerce or other)
  • 3 methods compared: (A) a third-party try-on app or SDK, licence on your account; (B) pre-generated AI model images, no shopper photo; (C) photo-upload try-on through a vendor's interface
  • 10 products set up at most, with an entry button and a try-on window on each product page
  • 4 renders per product at most in method B, across 2–3 body types and skin tones
  • 4 analytics events: try-on opened, completed, add to cart after try-on, purchase (GA4 or your analytics)
  • 2 weeks of measurement: a plan and a readout template, plus a switch to turn the feature off
AI-assisted
Setup and renders are produced with AI tools and checked by a developer before launch.
Human-led
A stylist or product specialist reviews every render, writes size guidance for the 10 products and the window is checked with a keyboard and a screen reader.

Not included

  • Vendor or interface fees.
  • 3D modelling of products (quoted).
  • More than 10 products.
Choose Try-On Pilot

How it works

  1. Days 1–3

    Feasibility

We check your category, platform and product photos, and recommend one method with its costs and limits.

  2. Days 3–10

    Setup

The chosen method is connected to up to 10 product pages, with the consent step, the AI label and the analytics events.

  3. Days 10–15

    Review and launch

Renders are checked, the window is tested on mobile and desktop, and the pilot goes live behind a switch you control.

  4. +2 weeks

    Measurement

After two weeks of traffic, the readout compares visitors who used try-on with those who did not.

What we need from you

  • Access to your store's admin or code repository.
  • The list of up to 10 products and their photos.
  • Your privacy policy (we draft the try-on text; your counsel approves it).
  • Access to your analytics.

What we measure

  • Try-on opened and completed, by product.
  • Add to cart after try-on, compared with visitors who did not use it.
  • Purchases and, later, returns for the pilot products, if your platform records them.
  • Two weeks of data is a first reading, not proof; we do not promise fewer returns or more sales.

What this service does not cover

  • Marketplace product cards.
  • Legal approval of your privacy policy (your counsel approves).
  • Promises about conversion or return rates.

Questions before you order

What is virtual try-on, and which products suit it?

It shows a product on the shopper, or on a model close to them, before they buy. It suits products where look and fit decide the purchase: clothing, glasses, jewellery, make-up and bags. It helps least with products bought on specifications.

Will it work on my platform?

Most likely, if it is Shopify, Next.js or WooCommerce, or another platform where we can edit the product page. The feasibility check confirms it before any setup work is paid for.

Do shoppers have to upload a photo?

Not with method B, which shows pre-generated images of the product on models of different body types and skin tones. Methods A and C use the shopper's photo or camera, with a consent step.

What happens to shopper photos?

They are used only to make the preview, after the shopper ticks a consent box. Where the vendor allows it, they are not stored afterwards; the retention setting is written into the scope.

How realistic is it?

Good enough to judge colour, proportion and style; less reliable for exact fit. That is why every render is labelled as an AI preview and why the human-led route adds a person's review of each render.

What does it cost to run afterwards?

The pilot fee covers our work. The try-on vendor's fees, if you choose method A or C, are paid by you directly; we list them in the estimate before you decide.

Will it cut returns or raise sales?

We cannot promise either. The pilot is built to measure it: try-on use, add to cart and purchases for the pilot products, and returns if your platform records them.

Can it work on Wildberries or Ozon?

No: marketplaces do not allow custom widgets on product cards. For them we make AI model images for the card itself, which is a separate service.
