Example
CLIENT Client project
SB Excursions, a Bali tour company: a travel site in five languages with tour pages and guides. Google Search Console, three months to 17 September 2026: 1.08K clicks and 92.2K impressions. Labelled CLIENT.
What this does not prove: Those figures belong to a whole five-language site built over time, not to a three-market plan; they do not predict demand in your markets.

How it differs
International SEO decides which countries to target and which URL structure to use. This option covers the languages themselves: which pages are translated, hreflang between them, and a check that each language version is indexed.

What is the difference between international and multilingual SEO?
International SEO chooses the countries and the URL structure. Multilingual SEO handles the language versions: translation scope, hreflang and the indexing of each language.

International SEO: what a strong proposal proves before work starts
Questions people ask before buying
01Subfolders, subdomains or country domains?+
Subfolders keep the authority of one domain and are the easiest to run; country domains send the strongest local signal but multiply the work. We recommend one on your platform, team and markets, not in general.
02Do we need a full translation of every page?+
Rarely at the start. The roadmap names the pages that carry demand in each market; the rest can follow once the first market proves itself.
03Is machine translation acceptable?+
As a draft, yes. Pages that should rank and sell need a native reviewer, and the plan marks which ones.
04What if our site already has language versions?+
Then the multilingual SEO section on this page is the better start: it fixes how the existing versions are found and linked.
05How soon can a new market bring traffic?+
Nobody can promise a date. New language versions usually take weeks to months to be indexed and ranked, and the roadmap sets the checkpoints to watch.
