How much do TikTok ads cost in 2026, and what is the smallest budget that works?

TikTok sells ads in an auction, so there is no price list. Its help page sets a floor of more than $50 a day per campaign and more than $20 a day per ad group. Lebesgue's 2026 average is a $4.80 CPM, which implies roughly $0.79 a click. VITON13 sets campaigns up from $33.

How does TikTok bill for ads?

According to TikTok's help centre, its auction ranks ads by bid and by relevance to the person watching. You are billed under one of four methods, which the campaign objective largely picks.

TikTok billing methods (TikTok help page, last updated August 2025)
MethodYou pay forUsed with
CPM1,000 impressionsReach
oCPM1,000 impressions, shown to people likely to actConversions and app installs (the default), leads, shop purchases, follows
CPVA view of at least 6 seconds, or an interaction in the first 6 secondsVideo views
CPCA clickTraffic, conversions, app installs, profile visits
Vendor posts often define a view as 2 seconds. TikTok's page says 6, so check the definition before comparing a cost per view.

Then you choose a bid strategy. TikTok's bidding page (August 2026) lists two: Target cost per result, which tries to hold your average cost at a number you set, and Maximum results, which spends the budget for as many conversions as the auction allows.

What is the minimum budget for TikTok ads?

TikTok's budget page (last updated July 2026) sets the floor at two levels. A daily budget must exceed $50 for a campaign and $20 for an ad group. On a lifetime budget the campaign minimum is again above $50, and an ad group needs $20 for every day it runs, so a 31-day ad group needs at least $620.

Minimum budgets: what TikTok says and what vendor pages print
RuleTikTok help pageVendor pages
Campaign, daily budgetMore than $50$50
Ad group, daily budgetMore than $20$20
Campaign, lifetime budgetMore than $50$500 (Influee, Stackmatix)
Ad group, lifetime budget$20 times the days; 31 days is $620Not stated
TikTok's page does not mention $500. Treat it as vendor habit until Ads Manager shows it to you.

A floor is not a working budget. TikTok advises a daily budget of 10 times your average daily cost per result (Maximum results) or at least 10 times your bid (Target cost per result). It caps budget increases at 40% a change while learning and 30% afterwards, no more often than every two days.

What do TikTok ads cost per 1,000 views, per click and per purchase?

TikTok cost benchmarks, 2026: sources disagree because they measure different things
Source and dateCPMCPCWhat it covers
Lebesgue, 2026-09-23$4.80About $0.79 (our arithmetic)Ecommerce data; click and conversion rates cover purchase campaigns; no sample size
Influee, 2026-07-24$4.20–$9.00$0.17–$1.00A UGC marketplace summarising platform ranges
Stackmatix, 2026-03-09Not stated$0.50–$1.50An agency's range for successful in-feed ads
No source names a sample. Read each as a range from one seller's data, not as a price list.

Lebesgue's averages do not multiply cleanly, but they give an order of magnitude. A $4.80 CPM with a 0.61% click rate implies about $0.79 a click, and a 1.92% conversion rate on those clicks implies about $41 a purchase. Lebesgue says TikTok's CPM runs roughly 30% below similar Facebook ads, yet it also notes that the click rate is close to an underperforming Meta campaign's. A cheaper impression is not automatically a cheaper customer. Our Facebook and Instagram ads cost guide covers the Meta side.

What do Spark Ads, TopView and TikTok Shop ads cost?

TikTok ad formats and how each is bought
FormatHow it is boughtPublished price
Spark AdsInside an ordinary campaign; promotes an organic post, yours or a creator'sNone on TikTok's page; Influee says creator usage rights add 20–30% to the post fee
TopViewBy CPM, for qualified customers, through a TikTok sales representative or Campaign ForecasterNone; TikTok says the minimum spend varies by market
TikTok Shop ads (Product GMV Max)Automated; you set an ROI target and a budgetNone; recommended budget is 2 × historical non-LIVE GMV ÷ ROI target
TikTok publishes no price list for any format. Where a number appears elsewhere it comes from a vendor blog.

Spark Ads let an organic post run as an ad; TikTok warns that a private video becomes public once a campaign uses it and that a caption cannot be edited after authorisation. For TikTok Shop, it defines the recommended ROI target as historical non-LIVE GMV divided by historical ad cost. By arithmetic, $2,000 of historical GMV and an ROI target of 4 give a budget of 2 × 2,000 ÷ 4 = $1,000.

How much does TikTok ad creative cost: UGC, creators or AI?

Creative is the second bill. Influee, a UGC marketplace, prices studio brand video at $2,000–$10,000+ a video and creator-made UGC at $200–$2,000 a piece, and argues that native-looking creative wins cheaper impressions than polished film. Read that as a seller's view.

  • Creator posts, per Influee: under 10,000 followers $200–$500; 10,000–100,000 followers $500–$2,000; 100,000–500,000 followers $2,000–$5,000.
  • Paid use of a creator's post (Spark Ads) is a separate right: agree the usage and its length before filming.
  • AI: TikTok's Symphony Agent drafts a 15-second video ad in about five minutes and up to three variants at a time. Access depends on the ad spend of the linked account, and TikTok lists no price.
  • Our UGC video ads cost guide prices creator-style filming and opening hooks.

A test needs variants more than one polished film. Influee's rule of thumb is five to ten variants over three to four weeks, a vendor's number rather than a TikTok rule.

What do TikTok ad agencies and freelancers charge?

Stackmatix sells ad management, so this is one seller's view. It also tells clients to keep the ad account in their own name.

Judge a fee against what your margin can carry. On a $1,500 budget a 15% fee is $225, while a $2,500 retainer costs more than the ads. Ask for reports in cost per paying customer, not views.

What would your TikTok budget buy at your own numbers?

The defaults are placeholders: a month at the $50-a-day floor, a click price and conversion rate near Lebesgue's averages, plus an assumed 85% of conversions that stick and a $60 order.

An estimate from your inputs, not a forecast: real clicks and sales depend on the product, the creative, the page and the season.

At the defaults, $1,500 buys about 1,875 clicks, 38 orders at $40 each, 32 paying customers at about $47 each and $1,913 of revenue, roughly $1.28 for every $1 spent before product and shipping costs. A $60 basket cannot carry that; a higher order value or repeat buying has to.

When should you wait before running TikTok ads?

  • You cannot yet count orders or leads from the site, so you could not tell which ad worked.
  • Your budget is the $50-a-day floor but a result costs far more than $5. TikTok's 10-times rule fits a $5 result at $50 a day; a $41 purchase needs about $410 a day.
  • You only have polished studio footage and no native-style variants to test against each other.
  • Customers already search for what you sell and money is tight: start with search ads, which our Google Ads cost guide prices.
  • Nobody can reply to feed enquiries within a day, and interest picked up from scrolling cools fast.

How VITON13 sets up a TikTok campaign

The work starts from one recent customer or campaign case, your current campaign material and the person who decides the budget. In the opening review we check that the offer, the landing page and the conversion events agree before any money moves. You then receive a campaign structure, a creative test matrix and a conversion dashboard with verified events and budget guardrails tied to lead quality. In the AI-assisted mode AI drafts the structure, the matrix and the reports and a marketing specialist reviews each decision; in the human-led mode a specialist builds them and AI assists. VITON13 does not buy media: the ad spend is yours and goes to TikTok.

No published TikTok ads case yet

No client of ours has a TikTok campaign we can publish yet, so this guide holds no VITON13 results. The figures come from TikTok's help centre, three named vendors and arithmetic on them, and the calculator begins with placeholders.

What this does not prove

  • The worked numbers are arithmetic on averages from different campaign sets. They do not show what a TikTok campaign earns in your category, country or season.

Questions and answers

How much should a small business spend on TikTok ads per day?

TikTok's floor is more than $50 a day per campaign, about $1,500 a month. Its own rule of thumb is a daily budget near 10 times your cost per result. If a purchase costs $41, as Lebesgue's averages imply, that points to about $410 a day; at $50 a day only a result near $5 fits.

Are TikTok ads cheaper than Facebook or Instagram ads?

Per thousand impressions, usually. Lebesgue puts TikTok's CPM about 30% below comparable Facebook ads, and Influee prints $4.20–$9.00 against $8–$14 for Meta. Per customer it depends on creative and product, and Lebesgue's TikTok click rate is only 0.61%. Compare cost per paying customer in your own accounts first.

Why is my TikTok campaign not spending?

Check the floor first: a campaign budget at or below $50 or an ad group at or below $20 is under TikTok's minimum, and a campaign budget lower than its ad group budget can cause delivery problems. Then the bid: TikTok advises raising a Target cost per result bid by at least 20% when budget use is low.

Do Spark Ads cost more than normal TikTok ads?

TikTok's Spark Ads page lists no separate price: they run inside ordinary campaigns, so the same budgets and bids apply. Influee quotes $5–$10 CPM against $4–$8 for standard in-feed and says creator usage rights add 20–30% to the post fee. Agree the authorisation period with the creator before filming.

What does TikTok Shop advertising cost?

TikTok publishes no price for it. Product GMV Max works from the budget and ROI target you set, and TikTok's recommended budget is two times historical non-LIVE GMV divided by the ROI target. It advises keeping an ROI setting for three full days before changing it. Selling fees on TikTok Shop are separate and not covered here.

Can VITON13 run my TikTok ads, and what does it cost?

VITON13 does not buy media. The campaign set-up starts from $33 and delivers a campaign structure, a creative test matrix and a conversion dashboard in 2–3 working days. Day-to-day management after hand-over is not included unless the written scope says so, and creator-style video is priced as a separate offer.
