How much does a product video cost, and when is a photo set enough?
Nereo’s September 2026 guide lists $300–$1,500 for a creator-shot clip, $1,500–$6,000 for a studio ecommerce video and $15,000 or more for 3D or cinematic work. Price follows the video type, the setups and how many products share one shoot. VITON13 edits a film from your footage from $53.

How much does a product video cost by type?
Every guide sells a different thing under the same three words: a white-background spin, a lifestyle shoot with a model and a 3D render are different jobs. The table sets published figures side by side; each firm quotes its own market, mostly in US prices.
| Type of video | Published range and source | What the range covers |
|---|---|---|
| White-background spin or 360 turntable | $1,000–$3,000 (Vidico, June 2026) | One product, one angle, clean background, basic transitions |
| Lifestyle shoot with a model or built set | $3,000–$10,000 or more (Vidico) | Multi-angle shots, talent, colour grading; top tier adds custom sets and VFX |
| Studio video for a product page | $1,500–$6,000 (Nereo, September 2026) | Small crew, controlled lighting, close-ups, polished edit |
| Amazon listing video | $500–$7,000 (Vidico) | Product-on-white footage with overlays, up to lifestyle with talent |
| Unboxing or UGC-style review | $200–$5,000 (Vidico); $50–$800 per creator video (Twine, August 2026) | Creator filming on a phone; the top is a managed programme |
| 3D product animation | $5,000–$50,000 or more (Vidico); $4,700–$12,500 for a 2–4 week freelance job (Twine) | Modelling time sets the price; clean CAD files cut the entry tier 20–30% (Vidico) |
| AI-generated product video | $20–$500 in software and assets (Nereo); $5–$50 per video with DIY tools (Vidico) | Vendor figures; both say output still needs accurate assets and review |
| VITON13 product video from your footage | From $53 | An edit: one film up to 30 seconds and three cutdowns. Filming is not included |
The floors differ because the scopes differ. Vidico’s $1,000 spin is one product and one angle; Nereo’s $1,500 video assumes a small crew and a polished edit. Compare deliverables before totals.
Is a product video priced per video or per SKU?
Per finished video, but think per SKU. The first video carries the setup: lights, set, crew; each extra product shot the same day carries much less. Vidico says 5–10 products in one studio day bring the cost to about $1,000–$2,000 a video. Gooers, a Spanish production marketplace, plans 20–50 white-background photo references a day against 3–10 with a model.
Bambuser, a live-shopping vendor, suggests spending by revenue rank: $2,000–$10,000 for a studio video on top sellers, $500–$1,500 for a templated shoot on mid-tier products, and clips or customer content under $500 for the long tail.
- Illustration, arithmetic on those ranges and not a quote: a 40-product shop gives 8 bestsellers a dedicated video, at least $16,000 at the $2,000 floor, and 12 mid-range products a templated shoot, $6,000–$18,000. That is 20 videos from about $22,000, against $40,000–$80,000 for all 40 at the $1,000–$2,000 batch rate.
- The other 20 products stay on photo sets until their sales justify a film.
What drives the price of a product video?
- Setups and shot count: one rotating product is simpler than a kitchen demo, an outdoor scene and a macro sequence (Nereo).
- People, props and location: creators and models add fees and usage agreements; reflective packaging, liquids and transparent materials need tests; a studio is cheaper than a permitted location.
- Motion graphics, voice-over and formats: custom motion design costs more than titles, and each platform needs its own export. Revisions, music and localisation are the usual overruns, below.
| Extra | Typical cost |
|---|---|
| Each revision round beyond the 1–2 usually included | $500–$2,000 |
| Reformatting for one more platform | $200–$500 |
| Localisation, per language and video | $600–$2,000 |
| Stock music, per video | $50–$300 (custom from $2,000) |
| Re-shoot when the product changes | $2,000–$5,000 per video |
Which video specs do Amazon, Wildberries, Ozon and Shopify set?
Specs change the price, because every format is an export and sometimes a new edit. These figures come from each platform’s own help pages, opened on 1 October 2026; check the live page first.
| Platform | File | Length | Shape | Also |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon (US help page) | MOV or MP4, up to 5 GB, up to 1080p | 1–12 minutes, as printed | 16:9 or 9:16 | Tied to an ASIN; no external links or promotional calls |
| Wildberries (card guide, updated 1 October 2026) | MOV or MP4, up to 50 MB, H.264 or MPEG-4, 25–30 fps | Up to 3 minutes | 720–1,920 px each side | One video per card; no YouTube links |
| Ozon video cover (Ozon Global help) | MP4 or MOV, up to 20 MB, 1,080–1,920 px | 8–30 seconds | Vertical 3:4; avoid 16:9 and 9:16 | No prices, contacts or watermarks; works without sound |
| Ozon video (same help) | MP4 or MOV, up to 100 MB from the account | 8 seconds–5 minutes | 1,080–1,920 px | Links from VK Video, Yandex.Disk or Rutube only |
| Shopify | MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 1 GB, up to 4K | Up to 10 minutes | Not fixed | Or embed a YouTube or Vimeo link |
Vendor guides drift from platforms. Vidico says to reformat for Amazon at 1:1 and calls Amazon clips 15–60 seconds; Amazon’s page lists 16:9 or 9:16 and 1–12 minutes. When a quote says “Amazon-ready”, ask which page the numbers came from.
Wildberries’ card guide also lets sellers generate a video cover from the card’s photos with its Video Covers service; check that it is open to your account. When a slideshow is enough, that needs no shoot.
Which type of product video fits which product?
- 360 spin: small, shiny or textured items where buyers want every side. Cheapest per SKU when batched.
- Lifestyle: when buyers buy a feeling or a fit, as with clothing, home and beauty. Talent and a set raise the price fastest.
- Demo or how-to: when use is not obvious or returns come from misuse. Amazon’s page lists overview, unboxing, operation, setup and troubleshooting.
- Unboxing or UGC-style: for paid social and review-style trust. Creator rates and licence terms are in our guide to UGC video ads.
- 3D animation: when the product cannot be filmed yet or has internal parts buyers need to see. Vidico names unreleased hardware, machinery and medical devices. AI-generated video suits scenes and variants around a product you hold real footage of.
Is an AI-generated product video cheaper, and what are the limits?
Usually. Nereo, a video-generation vendor, says AI cuts filming, talent, location and reshoot costs. Vidico says DIY AI tools fall short for customer-facing product pages. Both sell something, and neither tested your product.
- Product accuracy is the risk. Nereo’s own checklist asks you to check geometry, labels, hands, claims and safe zones before publishing.
- Amazon asks for a metadata tag when a video shows photorealistic people generated entirely by AI: add contains-synthetic-performer to the file’s XMP dc:subject field. Real people altered with AI tools do not need it.
- Split the work: real shots for what the buyer must trust, such as material, size and texture; AI for the scene, the background and the variants.
When is a photo set enough, and where does video pay back?
Amazon says sellers who added video to detail pages saw 23.8% higher sales on average than for an ASIN without one (Amazon internal data, January–June 2024). Vendors quote lifts of 2–4 times and name no study, and no independent controlled study turned up in the pages opened for this guide. Treat a lift as a hypothesis for your catalogue.
- Video earns its cost when use, size or motion decides the sale and stills cannot show it. VITON13’s marketplace product video scope is built on exactly that question.
- It also earns it when returns come from wrong expectations, when one shoot feeds several placements (Vidico says one shoot can yield 40 or more assets), or when unit margin pays for it.
- A photo set is enough for flat, self-explanatory, low-margin or short-lived items, and before a listing has its basic photos. Photography stays the cheaper way to cover a range.
What would a product video cost with VITON13?
The first package edits one film and three cutdowns from your footage; the pack covers several products, and the marketplace video fits listing rules. Totals add live starting prices in both production modes; filming, licensed music and ad spend are not included.

The product video takes 3–5 working days, the pack 7–12 working days and the 3D animation 5–8 working days. Without footage, a shoot comes first.
What should you send before asking for quotes?
- The number of SKUs, and which sell most.
- Where each video will run, with the platform’s spec page.
- What a buyer must see: size, motion, use, contents.
- Footage, photos or renders you already hold; people, props and location, if any.
- Formats and lengths: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 3:4.
- Usage rights (channels, term, paid or organic), music, voice-over, captions and languages.
- Revision rounds included, and what counts as final.
Ask every studio to price against the same list and compare per delivered video. A quote with one price and no list of formats cannot be compared.
How VITON13 makes a product video
The package starts from material you already hold: footage, product photos or 3D renders, plus the three things a buyer must understand. We write a shot concept and agree the order of the film before editing, then cut one hero film of up to 30 seconds and three cutdowns, with captions that carry the facts without sound. AI-assisted: AI does the first pass and a person checks the result against your product. Human-led: an editor leads the cut and AI assists. If nothing usable exists, filming is quoted separately as a shoot.

Our own GELO bottle film
No client product-video case is published yet. Our closest work is a film of GELO, a VITON XIII perfume, for our own brand: 7.07 seconds in which the cap lifts, a mist leaves the gold spray pump and the cap returns. The same render is cut into 169 frames that play as visitors scroll the page. It is labelled AI-generated.
What this does not prove
- The tool behind the GELO render is not recorded, so the case covers the edit and the scroll playback, not the generation.
- It is our own brand, not a client brief, and there is no view, conversion or sales data for it.

Questions and answers
How much does a 30-second product video cost?
Nereo’s benchmark for a straightforward 30-second product video is $1,000–$6,000; extra sets, talent, animation, rights and versions push it up. Our package edits one film of up to 30 seconds plus three cutdowns from your footage, from $53; filming is quoted on top.
Can I film a product video on a phone?
Often, for a first version. Bambuser says well-lit phone video with clear audio can match a studio shoot on a product page, a vendor claim. Amazon’s page bars blurry or low-quality uploads and asks for clear audio and proper lighting.
How long should a product video be?
Follow the platform: an Ozon cover runs 8–30 seconds, Wildberries accepts up to 3 minutes, Amazon’s page lists 1–12 minutes, and Vidico says Amazon clips usually run 15–60 seconds. Show the key feature early and stop; our hero film is capped at 30 seconds.
Is the VITON13 price comparable with a studio quote?
Not directly. The package starts from footage, photos or renders you hold and delivers an edit; filming is a separate shoot. Compare it with the editing line of a studio quote.
How is a product video different from a promo film?
A promo film sells the company or a campaign through interviews, a team and a story; a product video explains one product for a listing or a feed, in seconds. Our promo video guide covers the other case.
