How much does motion design and logo animation cost in 2026: prices, formats and what to prepare
A simple logo animation on the FL.ru freelance exchange cost from 7,150 ₽ for 2 days on 4 November 2026, a 3D sting 32,500 ₽ for a week, and a 2D video of up to 30 seconds 49,999 ₽. Length, 3D, sound, the number of formats and the state of your logo file move the price. VITON13's motion system starts at $73.

What is motion design, and how is it different from logo animation?
Motion design is the planning of movement: what appears on screen, in what order, how fast, how smoothly and with what sound. For a business it is four different orders, and each has its own price.
| What you order | What you get | Where it works |
|---|---|---|
| Logo animation | A few seconds in which the mark appears and settles on screen | Start and end of a video, a presentation, a site header, an email signature |
| Motion graphics in a video | Titles, figures, diagrams and transitions around speech or footage | An ad, a training video, a report |
| Interface animation | Button reactions, screen transitions, loading indicators | A website or an app |
| Motion system | Rules for speed, easing, order of appearance, and templates for several formats | A brand that makes videos and posts all the time |
The main difference is shelf life. A sting is needed for seconds; a system works for years. With its rules, your designer or contractor can assemble dozens of videos later, and they look like one brand. A story-led explainer with characters is a separate genre with its own budget, and it is not covered here.
How much does a logo animation cost?
On the first page of the logo animation section of the FL.ru exchange on 4 November 2026 there were three offers: “Logo animation for your brand” at 7,150 ₽ for 2 days, “PRO Logo animation” at 9,620 ₽ for 2 days and a 3D preroll at 32,500 ₽ for 7 days. These are published prices of freelancers, not market averages, and the sample is small.
| Offer | Price | Time | What the listing says it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| FL.ru, “Logo animation for your brand” | 7,150 ₽ | 2 days | Not shown in the list |
| FL.ru, “PRO Logo animation” | 9,620 ₽ | 2 days | Not shown in the list |
| FL.ru, 3D preroll | 32,500 ₽ | 7 days | 3D execution |
| Dribbble, Custom Logo Animation (MotionbyS) | $300 | 2 days | MP4, GIF and MOV; versions for social media, web and video |
| Dribbble, Custom Logo Animation (withsahil687) | $200 | 1 week | Concept, several styles to choose from, sound, transparent-background versions |
A simple sting takes 2 days in these listings. A week appears where 3D or several styles with sound are added. The FL.ru listings show neither the number of revisions nor the list of files. Ask for both before paying: without them two prices cannot be compared.
How much does motion design cost: a video, an interface, a system?
In the motion design section of the same exchange, on the first results page, prices rise with scope: from a few thousand roubles for a short promo to 65,000 ₽ for a one-minute video.
| Offer | Price | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Animated promo video for an app or service | 3,900 ₽ | 3 days |
| PRO Logo animation | 9,620 ₽ | 2 days |
| PRO Interface animation | 14,300 ₽ | 3 days |
| Animated 2D ad for a business, up to 30 seconds | 49,999 ₽ | 15 days |
| PRO Video presentation / Motion design | 65,000 ₽ | 8 days |
| Animated video of 60 seconds with voice-over | 65,000 ₽ | 30 days |
Freelancers do not quote a price per second; they sell the whole video. If you divide anyway, 49,999 ₽ for 30 seconds is about 1,670 ₽ a second, and 65,000 ₽ for 60 seconds about 1,080 ₽. That is arithmetic on two listings, not a tariff. For a sting a per-second price means little: most of the work is the idea, the sound and the versions, not the length.
What drives the price of an animation?
- The logo source. A layered vector animates fast; from a single picture the mark has to be redrawn, and those hours go into the quote. A Russian guide from Skyeng names starting from one raster file instead of layers as a common mistake.
- 2D or 3D. On FL.ru a 3D preroll cost 32,500 ₽ against 7,150–9,620 ₽ for a simple sting.
- Sound. One Dribbble listing names sound design and audio sync as part of the work; a licence for ready-made music, if you want it, is paid separately.
- Formats. Landscape video, a square, a vertical cut and a transparent-background version are different files, and each must be checked.
- Length. Skyeng advises 2–4 seconds and calls an animation longer than 6 seconds a mistake.
- Revisions and deadline. Every round is hours of work; a rush order usually costs more.
A simple order follows from this. First decide where the logo will be shown and how many seconds a viewer will look at it. Then gather the files. Only then ask for a price: you will be quoted for specific files, not for “an animation”.
How much does a motion design system cost at VITON13?
The page “Motion design system” does not sell a single sting. It sells a motion system: a motion direction, a storyboard with an animatic, and masters for channels. The price starts at $73 AI-assisted or $93 human-led, and the time is 5–8 working days after we receive the materials and confirm the scope. Logo animation is not named separately on the page: put it in the brief and it goes into the written scope.
| Option | When it fits | What you get | Price guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| A freelancer from an exchange, or a template | You need one sting | A video file in several formats | 7,150–9,620 ₽ in FL.ru listings |
| VITON13 motion design system | You need shared rules for several videos and formats | Motion direction, storyboard and animatic, channel masters | From $73 |
| A video with filming or voice-over | You need motion around speech or footage | The related “Motion design” service in video production | Quoted from the brief |
These rows cannot be compared head on: a sting is one file, a system is a set of rules and masters. If you only need a sting, an exchange price may be the sensible choice, and we will say so when we answer your brief.
What should you prepare before ordering an animation?
- Your logo as a vector (SVG, AI or PDF), with layers if possible. If you only have a PNG, say so up front.
- Two or three examples of movement you like, and one word for the character: calm, quick, strict, playful.
- A list of places where it will be shown: the start of a video, a website, a deck, email. Formats and length depend on it.
- Whether you need sound. If you want music, check that you hold a licence for it.
- Brand colours and fonts, if they are not yet written into a guideline.
- The name of one person who approves the result, and the date you need it.
With this set a contractor can name a price and a date at once. Without it the first days go on questions, and the quote later drifts from the first figure.
Which file formats are delivered, and what about accessibility?
| Format | Used for | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| MP4 (H.264) | YouTube, social media, presentations | No transparent background (Skyeng) |
| MOV (ProRes 4444) | Editing and ad inserts | Transparency; ten seconds can take 50–100 MB (Skyeng) |
| WebM | Websites | Transparency; not supported by every browser, so web.dev advises serving MP4 too |
| GIF | Email and platforms without video | 256 colours and heavy: in the web.dev example 3.7 MB against 551 KB for MP4 and 341 KB for WebM |
| SVG animation | Websites | Needs code; Skyeng advises keeping the file under 500 KB |
Animation on a website is also a question of accessibility. Under WCAG success criterion 2.2.2, movement that starts automatically, lasts longer than five seconds and is shown next to other content needs a way for the visitor to pause, stop or hide it, unless the movement is essential. A three-second sting does not fall under this. A looping logo in a header does.
MDN adds that scaling and panning large objects can cause discomfort for people with vestibular disorders. The prefers-reduced-motion setting lets a site swap such movement for a quieter one, such as a soft fade. Ask your contractor for that version.
When is a logo animation not worth it?
- The logo is about to change. Animate it after the rebrand, or you pay twice.
- The mark is only shown in static places: a sign, an invoice, a signature.
- The viewer came for the content. Five seconds of intro before a useful video costs them time; Skyeng calls an animation longer than 6 seconds a mistake.
- The budget only stretches to a poor result. A crisp static logo beats a cheap, jerky one.
- You need a single post. A ready-made template with your logo covers it.
A template is a fair choice for a one-off. Its downside is that other people have the same scene. If the logo will live for years, it makes sense to pay for movement that grew out of your own mark and for rules that let you repeat it.
How VITON13 builds a motion design system
We start by asking where and for how long a viewer sees your brand, and only then choose the movement. The work runs in stages: research, visual direction, production and handover. AI-assisted: AI prepares draft options and a designer selects and refines them. Human-led: a designer leads the work and AI helps. Scope and exclusions are confirmed in writing before work begins.

PILOTPilot in progress
There is no published logo animation case yet
VITON13 has no published client case on logo animation with client figures, so there are no invented results here. Every price above is a published offer from other providers on 4 November 2026, or data from the service page. A sensible first step is a pilot: one logo, one format and one look at the storyboard before you order a whole system.
What this does not prove
- The FL.ru and Dribbble prices are single listings, not a market average and not our quote.
- A pilot does not prove that animation will raise recognition or enquiries: we hold no client data on that.
Questions and answers
How much does a logo animation cost?
On FL.ru on 4 November 2026 a simple 2D animation cost 7,150–9,620 ₽ and a 3D sting 32,500 ₽. On Dribbble two providers asked $200 and $300. These are listings, not an average price list, and what they include differs.
How long does a logo animation take?
In the FL.ru listings a simple sting takes 2 days and a 3D one 7 days; one Dribbble provider with several styles and sound quotes a week. A VITON13 motion design system takes 5–8 working days after we receive the materials.
How long should a logo animation be?
A Russian guide from Skyeng advises 2–4 seconds and calls an animation longer than 6 seconds a mistake. A website adds a technical limit: movement that starts on its own and runs past five seconds must be possible to stop.
Can a logo be animated from a PNG or JPG?
Yes, but the mark has to be redrawn as a vector, which adds hours. If you have no vector, say so at the start. The contractor then puts the redrawing into the quote and the date instead of finding it on day three.
Do I need music, and who pays for the licence?
Not always: a sting in silence also works. If you want music, the licence for a ready-made track is paid separately from the animation. One Dribbble listing counts sound as part of the work, while you check the licence yourself.
How many revisions come with a logo animation?
The FL.ru listings do not show the number of revisions, so ask before paying. In the VITON13 motion design system the service data gives 2 rounds of revisions on the deliverables, and exclusions are confirmed in writing before work begins.
