Who it is for
A business whose logo, colours and fonts are settled, and whose material is now made by more than one person: a freelancer, a printer, an agency or the sales team. If the mark itself is still open, start with the logo or the identity.
What is included
- 1 guidelines document for the logo you already have, in PDF
- 6 groups of rules in measurable values: logo versions, clear space, minimum size, colour, type and imagery direction
- Colour values in 3 systems: HEX, RGB and CMYK
- 1 set of real-use examples: each rule shown on material from your own business, not on an invented mock-up
- 1 handoff library: the files your next supplier needs, sorted by use
Not included
- Designing a new logo or redrawing your mark: that is the logo page or the identity page
- Brand strategy, positioning and naming
- A hosted brand portal and its subscription
- Font and stock-image licences
- Printing, signage and production of your materials
How the work runs
- 01
You send the logo files, the colours and fonts you use and a few real pieces: a page of the site, a post, a document, a label. Within one working day we send the written estimate with the final price.
- 02
We look at how the mark behaves in those pieces: where it is shrunk, placed on a photograph or left without room.
- 03
We write each rule as a value and not as a wish: clear space in parts of the mark, a minimum size, colour codes, type with fallbacks.
- 04
We show the rules on your material and collect the files into the library. After the revision rounds you receive the document and the library.
Example
CONCEPT Concept — not a commissioned project
NUMBER ONE®, a concept book VITON13 wrote on its own initiative for a fictional brand whose clothing is awarded and never sold: 12 sections with a one-line positioning, 4 eligibility conditions, a 6-step award protocol and 7 governance principles. It shows how the studio turns brand decisions into rules another person can follow. Labelled CONCEPT.
What this does not prove: It is our own concept for a brand that was never launched, and it is a text document: no logo files, colour values or type specimen. It reflects no client's brief and says nothing about the price or timing of a visual guidelines document.

What Should Brand Guidelines Include? A Practical Checklist
Questions people ask before buying
01Can you write the rules before we have a logo?+
Not usefully: guidelines record decisions, and the mark is the first of them. Without one, start with the logo page; if the palette, the type and the carriers are open as well, the identity creates the system and its rules in one job.
02How is this different from a brand identity?+
The identity designs the system: a logo in every version, a palette, a type scale and icons applied to carriers, from $93 in 6–10 working days. Nothing new is drawn here: we write down and test what you already use, which is why the starting price is lower.
03Brand book, guidelines or logo book: which one is this?+
By its contents it is a set of guidelines: visual rules for a finished mark. A logo book is narrower and covers the logo alone; a brand book in the strict sense is wider and adds positioning, character and voice. That meaning layer is not in this package and is quoted separately.
04How many pages will the document have?+
As many as your suppliers' questions need. A rule with its example earns a page; a page without a rule goes. We do not sell a page count: the estimate names the rule groups, not a number of sheets.
05Which format do we receive?+
A PDF, which is part of the price, with the library of files sorted by use. A hosted portal with access rights and updates is a different product with a subscription, and it is not in this package.
06Who owns the result?+
Under the studio's sales policy, rights in the delivered work pass to you when the final price is paid. Font and stock-image licences are not in the price: you buy them yourself.
07What changes between the AI-assisted price and the human-led one?+
The scope and the files are the same. AI-assisted: AI drafts the layouts and the example pages, and a designer sets and checks every rule. Human-led: a designer builds the document and AI only assists. For a complex brand, choose the second.
08What if our logo turns out to be weak?+
We say so before writing rules around it. Decide first what changes, on the logo page or the identity page, and fix the rules afterwards; otherwise the document has to be rewritten.
